Adult learning at Headford Adult Learning Centre

Headford Adult Learning Centre opened at Main Street, Headford, in 2008. It is a basic education service for adults covering the areas of Headford, Belclare, Corrandulla, Annaghdown, Caherlistrane, Lackagh, Claregalway, Athenry, and Oranmore.

Literacy programmes in south Westmeath

National Adult Literacy Awareness Week takes place next week from September 19 to 23. South Westmeath Literacy Scheme offers help to adults who have difficulties with reading, writing, spelling, or maths. Students can take part in a group or have one-to-one help from a volunteer tutor. The centre is open 60 hours every week with classes arranged at times to suit tutors and students. All learning is student driven, and all tuition is provided free of charge.

CRC to broadcase new series of Survival English

CRC fm will broadcast a second series of Survival English, the award winning programmes helping the immigrant population to learn English commencing Monday July 28 from 4pm to 5pm and repeated on Saturdays from 5pm to 6pm.
